PROGRAMS
DROP IN
Drop in classes are aimed at those who cannot commit to a scheduled program but enjoy the dance experience and wish to continue their dance training. Drop-in classes will be available to students ages 18 and up and will be offered throughout the week. Classes will be available in Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Ballet, and Yoga. No dance experience is needed and all levels will be taught (beginner - advanced). These classes will have a fun atmosphere and provide professional training.
RECREATIONAL
Recreatioanl ages 5+ to Adult.
This recreational program is aimed at students seeking to learn new forms of dance in a non competitive forum. Recreational classes will be available to both beginner, intermediate and advanced dancers. Classes offered to recreational students will include Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip-Hop and Contemporary.
The syllabus used for these classes will be ADAPT for Jazz and Tap and RAD for ballet. The goal of the recreational program is for students to have fun while learning to dance at a high level with professional teachers. All students will be invited to perform at the year-end Recital where family and friends can see what you the students have learned throughout the year.
TINY TOTS
Tiny Tots: ages 2 to 4
Tiny tots is a program aimed for children ages 2 to 4. It is creative movement which utilizes the fundamentals of Jazz and Ballet. The teachers will incorporate dance props which will be used to create dance games. The goal of the class is for the children to have fun while learning basic dance movements
COMPETITIVE
minimum number of classes per week : 4
The competitive program is aimed at students looking to take their dance abilities to the highest level. This program offers the students classes in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Contemporary and Technique. Students in the competitive program will be required to take a minimum of 4 classes per week (2 must be Ballet). The teaching syllabus used in classes with be ADAPT for Tap, and Jazz and RAD for Ballet.
The teachers for this program will be highly qualified instructors who have been in the studio world but have worked professionally in the dance industry. The students will be entered in local and out-of-town, regional and national competitions. Our goal for the program is for students to dance at the highest level, and give them the tools needed to further their dance education and even succeed in the professional dance world.
Dance Styles
Ballet
Ballet Teachers - Jolene Hansell, Sarah Nolan, Kirill Chour.
Ballet classes will be offered in our recreational, competitive and drop-in programs. Ballet levels will range from primary to advanced/senior. Classes will be offered using the grading system as well. Ballet will be taught using the RAD syllabus which provides a proper foundation for Ballet technique. Students must wear white tights, blue or black bodysuits and proper ballet shoes. Girls must have their hair out of their faces and preferably worn in a bun.
Contemporary
Contemporary Teachers - Tressa Wilson, Geisha Chin.
Contemporary classes will be offered in our recreational, competitive and drop-in programs. Contemporary levels will range from beginner to advanced. Form fitting dance apparel must be worn but shoes are optional.
Hip Hop
Hip Hop Teachers - Michael Falcucci, Albert Mai, Gabriel Wolinsky.
Hip-Hop is a combination of Jazz and street movement that’s very enjoyable and fun. It’s a great workout and mostly done to Pop music, R&B and Rap. Hip-Hop classes will be available from the Junior to Advanced/Senior levels. Form fitting or loose clothing and shoes used solely for indoor purposes may be worn.
Tap
Tap Teachers - Gabriel Wolinsky, Sophia Falcucci, Tressa Wilson.
Tap classes will be offered in our recreational, competitive and drop-in programs. Tap will be taught to students from a pre-junior level up to advanced. The teachers will use the ADAPT syllabus to instill proper technique to the students. Beige tights and a black bodysuit with proper tap shoes should be worn in all tap classes.
Technique
Technique Teachers - Michael Falcucci, Gabriel Wolinsky, Tressa Wilson.
Technique classes are available to students in the Recreational and Competitive programs. Levels for classes will range from junior to advanced/senior. The focus of these classes is to enhance the dancer’s technique. The classes will also improve the student’s strength and flexibility by learning more advanced jumps and turns. Students must wear tights and a bodysuit with the proper dance shoes.
Jazz
Jazz Teachers - Michael Falcucci, Gabriel Wolinsky, Tressa Wilson, Sophia Falcucci.
Jazz classes will be offered in our recreational, competitive and drop-in programs. Jazz will be taught to students from a primary level up to advanced/senior. The teachers will use the ADAPT syllabus to instill proper technique to the students. Beige tights and a black bodysuit with proper Jazz shoes should be worn in all tap classes.
