About CAPITAL
CITY DANCE
Capital City Dance is a community leader for Ottawa dance classes and summer dance camps. We exist as the result of a shared dream, envisioned by experienced dance artists who wanted to share their passion for dance and help nurture the next generation of dancers in Ottawa.
We have a beautiful dance studio located in Ottawa to serve all the communities around the city: Our 74 Jamie Avenue studio is near Merivale and Hunt Club and and easily accessible by the Queensway and other main roads. Our students come from Orleans to Carleton Place.
OUR DANCE STYLES
From Jazz and Tap dance to Ballet, contemporary and more, Capital City Dance is the home of dance instruction in Ottawa.
Tap
Ottawa Tap dance classes at Capital City Dance are based on the ADAPT Syllabus, which we use to instill proper technique to students learning this amazing art form. Tap classes go from pre-junior level all the way to advanced, and are available in competitive, recreational and drop-in formats.
Hip Hop
Our Ottawa dance classes in Hip-Hop are available from the junior to advanced levels. Hip-Hop is a modern, urban dance form, famous around the world for it’s melange of jazz and street movement. It’s the least structured of dance forms that we teach at Capital City Dance, but maybe the most fun!
Contemporary
Contemporary dance classes at Capital City Dance in Ottawa are offered in competitive, recreational and drop-in formats – ranging in level from beginner to advanced. Contemporary dance is a fun, emotive form of dance that is full of movement and generally free of rigid structure.
